چکیده
The coupling between a quantum dynamical system and a two-level system reservoir is analysed within the framework of the Feynman-Vernon theory. We stress the differences between this new reservoir and the well-known bath of oscillators and show that, in order to obtain the Langevin equation for the system of interest in the high temperature regime, we have to choose a spectral distribution function J(ω) which is finite for ω = 0.

Finite temperature correlation function of two dissipative massive scalar fields: Thermofield approach
The present paper aims at investigating the manner of two dissipative massive scalar fields. Two massive scalar fields that interact with a reservoir were considered and a reservoir was modeled by continuum Klein-Gordon fields. The Lagrangian of the total system was canonically quantized and the dynamics of the system was determined using the Euler-Lagrange equation. Then, the explicit form of the...
متن کاملRadiation reaction and quantum damped harmonic oscillator
By taking a Klein-Gordon field as the environment of an harmonic oscillator and using a new method for dealing with quantum dissipative systems (minimal coupling method), the quantum dynamics and radiation reaction for a quantum damped harmonic oscillator investigated. Applying perturbation method, some transition probabilities indicating the way energy flows between oscillator, reservoir and q...
متن کاملA minimal coupling method for dissipative quantum systems
Quantum dynamics of a general dissipative system investigated by its coupling to a Klein-Gordon type field as the environment by introducing a minimal coupling method. As an example, the quantum dynamics of a damped three dimensional harmonic oscillator investigated and some transition probabilities indicating the way energy flows between the subsystems obtained. The quantum dynamics of a dissi...
متن کاملSuper operator Technique in Investigation of the Dynamics of a Two Non-Interacting Qubit System Coupled to a Thermal Reservoir
In this paper, we clarify the applicability of the super operator technique for describing the dissipative quantum dynamics of a system consists of two qubits coupled with a thermal bath at finite temperature. By using super operator technique, we solve the master equation and find the matrix elements of the density operator. Considering the qubits to be initially prepared in a general mixed st...
متن کاملThermal Reservoir coupled to External Field and Quantum Dissipation
In the framework of the Caldeira -Leggett model of dissipative quantum mechanics, we investigate the effects of the interaction of the thermal reservoir with an external field. In particular, we discuss how the interaction modifies the conservative dynamics of the central particle, and the mechanism of dissipation. We briefly comment on possible observable consequencies.
